Ms. Ashworth practices primarily in the area of general civil litigation, including complex business litigation and environmental litigation. Her litigation experience includes criminal defense work, tax appeals, securities fraud, and representing clients in domestic relations cases. She was associated with McAfee & Taft in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and she was a paralegal for a small Oklahoma City civil and criminal litigation firm for five years prior to entering law school.
She is a regular contributor to the Supreme Court of Vermont Law Blog, or SCOV Law. The blog features summaries of Vermont Supreme Court decisions with a "dollop of lampooning, legal analysis and a charming aggregation of creative thought."
Ms. Ashworth graduated from the University of Oklahoma (B.A. 2004) and Vermont Law School (M.S. in environmental law, summa cum laude, 2007; J.D., cum laude, 2007). While in law school, she was a Jessup Moot Court Invitee, and she served as a full-time judicial extern to Justice Brian L. Burgess of the Vermont Supreme Court. She was admitted to the Vermont bar in 2007. She worked for the firm while in law school and joined the firm in 2007.
Ms. Ashworth practices primarily in the firm's Civil Litigation, Family Law, Land Use and Development and Criminal Defense areas. She splits her time between the firm's White River Junction and Randolph offices.
