Nathan H. Stearns

Stearns Mr. Stearns focuses his practice on land use planning and environmental matters, including Act 250 permitting and local zoning for new development and enforcement matters. He also practices in the area of commercial real estate and has over 15 years of commercial real estate experience working as an attorney, a banker, and a consultant.

Mr. Stearns practiced real estate law at the firm of Brown, Rudnick, Freed & Gesmer (now Brown Rudnick LLP), in Boston, Massachusetts, and he worked for many years as an internal legal advisor for the commercial mortgage department at Bear Stearns, and as the head of the real estate capital markets divisions for both LaSalle Bank and Macquarie Bank Limited.

Mr. Stearns graduated from Brown University (B.A. 1990) and Boston College Law School (J.D., summa cum laude, 1995), where he was editor-in-chief of the Boston College Environmental Law Review. He was admitted to the bar in Massachusetts in 1996, New York in 2000, Vermont in 2010, and New Hampshire in 2011. He joined the firm in 2010.

Mr. Stearns practices primarily in the firm's Civil Litigation, Business Formation and Advice and Land Use and Development areas.
