portrait of P.Scott McGee Mr. McGee engages in general litigation with substantial experience in civil, family, personal injury and criminal defense litigation. Mr. McGee has a statewide practice in mediation and also represents clients in all professional fields in regulatory and discipline matters.

Mr. McGee is a frequent lecturer on ethics and professionalism at legal education programs for lawyers. He is a past president of the Vermont Association for Justice (formerly the Vermont Trial Lawyers Association) (2008-09) and of the Vermont State's Attorneys Association (1978-79). He is Chair of the Vermont Supreme Court's Advisory Committee on Criminal Rules. He is past Vice-Chair of the Vermont Bar Association's Committee on Professional Responsibility. Mr. McGee has served on the State Board of Mental Health, the Vermont Council on the Humanities, and the State Governing Board of Common Cause Vermont. He is past Chairman of the Board of the Laraway School, Inc. and is a past Chairman of the Board of The Family Place, a United Way agency in the Upper Valley. Mr. McGee was the first recipient of the Vermont Bar Association Distinguished Pro Bono Service award.

Mr. McGee was educated at Loomis School (1965) and attended Denstone College, Staffordshire, England on an English Speaking Union Fellowship (1965-66). He graduated from Amherst College (B.A., cum laude, 1970) and Catholic University School of Law (J.D. 1975). He was admitted to practice in Vermont in 1975 and in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in 1980. He served as Lamoille County State's Attorney (1976-80) and was an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Vermont (1980-84). He joined the firm in 1984.

Mr. McGee practices primarily in the firm's Civil Litigation, Mediation, Family Law, Professional Regulation Defense and Criminal Defense areas.
